Im not usually one to like rock/celtic music (a la Gaelic Storm, even though they surprised me when I saw them on the Rock Boat last year) but a friend of mine just turned me on to Great Big Sea’s new album and it really is great! Its definitely more of a rock record through and through but it still has some of the celtic roots overtop. They’ve been around for a really long time though, can anyone tell me which albums theyd recommend??

Never heard of them, but if you like some energy in your celtic folk, you may like Dropkick Murphys (irish punk).
