Both albums were a big part of my introduction to music as a teenager.
Always liked Equinox a little more though. Magnetic Fields is ok as well. Lost interest in JMJ from Zoolook onwards when i discovered Tangerine Dream via Underwater Sunlight. |

Oxygene: 0 stars Equinoxe: 0 stars Catastrophic synthetic music...just awful and terribly commercial. The worst exemple in the genre with Vangelis, TD (since the last decade) -------------

"Oxygene" set the pace and "Equinox" gave it a solid trend - that same trend became gradually enriched by "Magnetic Fields "and the amazing "Concerts in China", the most intensely prog-related Jarre's recording ever. Regards. |

All the subsequent albums are just a copy of Oxygene!!! JM Jarre is the prog version of Status Quo........ His is not progressive music just synth pop dressed up to be something it aint.He's a showman,pure and very simple. |
