Did you watch the late TV show 24 before it came to it's finale?  Man, I loved that show.  Good action-packed television and Kiefer Sutherland is a studly actor.  Too bad it ended, but I believe a movie is in the workings Big smile

No cable = no 24. I hear it was good though.

It was mostly good.  I've seen every season except 5 (which is supposed to be the best).  1-4 are nice, though 4 is a little disturbing in how fast and loose it plays with torture ethics.  Season 6 is great for about 8 episodes then becomes kinda stupid, even though it's hard to place exactly why.  Season 7 is great for 18 episodes or so, but lost momentum at the end.  I only saw the first half of season 8; I kinda liked it, but I wasn't able to get around to the second half, and what I heard about it didn't fill me with enthusiasm.

It was kind of a strange series finale because it ended just like any other season.  Of course, it's likely setting up for the movie.

Good series, but it was right to end it now. They appeared to be runing out of original story lines, it had got to the stage where we'd seen it all before.

I watched the first 2 seasons, and then lost interest. I thought it got a bit predictable after that. I started watching season 3, but couldn't get through it. It seemed a bit silly that such a high level organization could be infiltrated every year! Silly!

A bit predictable!?!? It just kept getting more and more predictable and worse pretty much.  The 1st season was my favorite and it gradually went downhill but still had its moments.  Each season gets good at some point.  But it took too long by the last few seasons.  I must admit though... the last few episodes of this last season were some of the best episodes they ever did.  But I'm really happy they ended the show.  I could barely stand watching it anymore, but just felt obligated since i already put so much time in.

Jason Bourne would kick Jack's ass.

And is that Sean Connery,Roger Moore,or Daniel Craig's ass? I think Craig's Bond would own Jack.

No one owns Jack.  Jack doesn't even own Jack. He'd have to torture himself.

Well, I so the first two seasons (especially because Elisha Cuthbert Heart) and it was pretty exciting and weird to see all that action and different characters. The problem is that they overworked the terrorist topic too much and added too much action. I think the first two seasons were kind of OK and believable, but as soon as the explossions and killings increased the story went down hill. I still want to go back on track, but TV series do not inspire me anymore...

Can't see how it's going to work myself. The unique feature of the TV show was that it was in "real time". Unless the film runs for 24 hours, that premis will need to be compromised.
