Traummaschine is the highlight for me...  When I first heard the album, I liked Amboss more, and thought Traummaschine was a little boring, now i feel the opposite way.

Both part are great, and the contrast helps make this album really special, but I, too, will vote for "Traummaschine".

It's the Dream Machine for me as well.

Can't vote on this one yet, I'm still listening to Darwin! from the last poll I voted in Big smile

My favourite Ash Ra Tempel album from this era is probably Inventions for Electric Guitar.

Edit: gonna have to vote for the first track, the second is kinda... boring.

"Amboss" features some (if you don't mind me saying) 'beastly' drumming from my man, Klaus Schulze.

Sure, it's no "Mindphaser", but you gotta start somewhere.

Wow, how did I let this one get by me unnoticed?  I love both tracks, but as with the majority I'm going to go with Traummaschine.  I need to get more Ash Ra Tempel albums already, this is the only one I have!

I'm going against the grain and voting for Amboss. It's like if Jimi Hendrix had been in Tangerine Dream. It's awesome. But both tracks are great.

Amboss because it reminds me a combination of krautrock, Hendrix and Miles Davis circa The fillmore concerts without sax and trumpet.

So now you think Amboss is a little boring? Love the whole album, but Amboss for me. I prefer Ash Ra Tempel when it rocks. Join Inn has become my favorite album by them.

LOL, that's exactly what happened to me too.

Also, Traummaschine wins because it's post-rock from 1971 and that's EPIC WIN. Cool
