have you realy watched any episodes of Nip/Tuck at all, to me that is one of the most intellegent series I know of, how they can make silly things like plastic surgery into a tense dramatic serie is to me a stroke of genius, the acting is top notch, the caracters are deep and complicated, and each episodes have great climaxes at the end
Christian Troy is one of the best caracters I have seen on the telly

House is ridiculously smart but also depressing. It sometimes makes me feel like I'm the patient, so I'll stay away from it. Nip/Tuck is funny, smart, sexy, and much more entertaining (the deciding factor) -------------
