Second Life Syndrome for me, even though I love Ghost Reveries, Deadwing and even The Way Up.

Pat Metheny and Opeth almost at the same level, Riverside right after

Pat Metheny.  I'm surprised there are no votes for Porcupine Tree or Dream Theater yet.

Most of those are Prog Metal releases, not all that I've listened to, but I've heard once or twice most of them and my favorite is definitely Deadwing which I've listened plenty of times.

The Way Up by Metheny is kind-of overrated in my opinion, as of late. It's excellent, but not really that great compared to his released with the 'Pat Metheny Group'.

Exactly the same candidates plus Octavarium. My vote goes to Deadwing by a hair over the others.

I am torn with 2nd Life and Deadwing - - yet must revert to my instincts and recent history - - Deadwing was truly the album that pulled me back from an arrid musical isolationism that permeatd my existence after college, marrige, children, professional drains, et al.  I must tilt my hat here as I do feel that I am back and Deadwing  was (NPI) instrumental!!!!

Frances the Mute should have been the eleventh Stern Smile. It blows all of these out of the water...

Of these, Ghost Reveries.

Deadwing over Ghost Reveries and Second Life Syndrome.

Particularly impressed by S.U.S.A.R. though.

I've been conceiving you, all along. Riverside just rules my emotions more than the other fellows, but props to Ghost Reveries and Room V
