South Park!

The Simpsons are good too...

Some early episodes of Family Guy are funny, but for the most part I'm not a big fan.

South Park puts the other 2 to shame.

The Simpson's has become a bit tiring.  South Park as well.  The Family Guy has this juvenile sense of humor that still works for me. LOL
If there's nothing better out there to watch on TV, I gravitate to it, probably most likely because there isn't anything better out there to watch.

Family Guy is pretty terrible
South Park is brilliant
but seasons 3-8 of The Simpsons were the greatest achievement in television history (seasons 1,2, 9, and 10 were damn good as well)

usually this topic (which continues to pop up) sends me into an extended rant about how The Simpsons has been violently and graphically defiled (wanted to use the stronger word but figured I'd get in trouble) over the last 10 years but I don't feel like it today

I'm voting for Family Guy, simply because it's under-appreciated here, and won't last long.

However, South Park is the only show on the poll with true balls.

South Park is quite funny, but only in small doses. The first three seasons of Family Guy are gold, pure gold. The third-eight season of The Simpsons are marvellous. Vote goes to The Simpsons. Their good stuff is better than Family Guy.

Exactly this.

Though I would add:

The Simpsons are better to watch as a fun series, they have good plots.
Family Guy however is by far more hillarious in my opinion, the plots are pretty aimless, and that's what I like about it.

I haven't watched enough South Park to have a good opinion about them, but one thing that I know is that I'm not fond of the show.

Overall: Simpsons hands down

Currently: Family Guy. Yeah yeah hate on it, esp being a prog site filled with people needing to hate popular things LOL but its funny, and clearly not "intelligent" but a lot less stupid than people prob think.
However, this is only because Simpsons have lost in IMO (inevitable)
And same with South Park. Was a time that I watched it religiously, brilliant stuff but it too has lost it for me.

My fav shows on TV are Venture Bros and ATHF!

Oh yes.
Funny thing: Used to hate the show

And even though FG is the freshest of the 3, it is very close to "losing" it for me as well.

By the way, if Futurama had been listed here instead of The Simpsons, my choice would have been a lot harder. A much funnier show, in my opinion, and Matt Groening's true masterwork. I'll take ''bite my shiny metal ass'' over ''eat my shorts'' any day of the week. LOL

Futurama was too maudlin and pop culture a lot of the times. Sure, Jurassic Bark works, although they totally ruined the ending with Bender's Big Score, but the endless thing with Fry and Leela just got tiresome, as do the constant veiled references (which people 1000 years from now somehow still care about or remember?).  It's sort of like how everybody thought the UK Office was great because of the drama, but I don't want drama, I want to laugh. The UK Office also had terrible sense of humour, so that was obviously a problem as well.

Although I still watched Futurama on Netflix Instant pretty much all day today.

I'll go with The Simpsons, South Park is more deliberately offensive than funny a lot of the time (the two are not always the same!), and Family Guy is just terrible. Surprisingly, I saw a new episode of American Dad lately, and it was better than both Family Guy and the new episodes of The Simpsons. Which goes to show you how far The Simpsons has fallen.

Why are you speaking about Futurama in the past-tense? It's back on the air, and new.

Yeah, but while I haven't managed to find a full episode online in CC's hellish website, from what I've heard and the clips that I've seen suggest that it's not very good. Beast With A Billion Backs was pretty good, but the rest of the movies were...less so, so I shouldn't be surprised.

South Park is either the funniest show around or it's falling flat on it's face. The Simpsons haven't been good for well over a decade, although in it's prime it was pure brilliance. As for Family Guy, it's a show that revolves around random gags so it gets old fast. I guess that Seth guy has a few shows now that are practically the same thing. I just don't get how he gets away with it ...

My vote goes to The Simpsons for pure nostalgia.

South Park. I think I've only watched Family Guy once or twice.

My thoughts on all three:

The Simpsons: The beginning: boring. The latest: inconsistent. The middle: the best TV I'll ever watch in my life.

South Park: Probably the most consistent. Almost no disappointment comes from this show.

Family Guy: Looks like it was written by a 12 year old. Whoever thought it'd be a good idea to just go "Alright guys, lets make a show, give it a plot, spend about 5 minutes of the show focusing on said plot and spend the rest of the show cracking random jokes that have nothing to do with anything." The jokes aren't even funny either. If they're gonna do this, they should just do stand-up comedy. Also, the filler! The chicken fights are the worst bits of TV I've seen in my life. And I remember seeing one episode where they incorporated an entire Conway Twitty song for no reason... Even a section of one wasn't funny in previous episodes, but that was just...bad.

Alright, that being said, I used to watch Family Guy a lot. I'll admit the middle is at least watchable and has it's entertaining moments, but from now on, I'm skipping past every new and old episode.(inb4peoplesaywhydoyouknowsomuchifyouhateitsomuch)

Used to be a huge South Park guy, but kind of lost interest in it over the years.  The Family Guy is on constantly, multiple channels, so these days I end up watching more than the other two.  Been a fan of Matt since he was doing the obscure Life In Hell comic strip.  Don't go out my way to watch the Simptoms these days, but still enjoy it.

None of the above. I never got into family guy, but the others are just as tedious to watch now ... makes you kinda nostalgic for Just Wait Till Your Father Gets, Until Your Father Gets, Wait Till Your Father Gets Home... well, perhaps not. It's time for something new, and I don't mean Life & Times of Tim. Dead

South Park for me. I know they claim not to have a political agenda, but I sure end up agreeing with them a lot. Also, funny. Simpsons is second because of the emotional attachment I have for the characters. I really care what happens to Homer. I have no emotional interest in what happens to Peter Griffin.

The Simpsons would win if we set this poll in the 90s. Their episodes from the early days are un-freaking-touchable. Some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen. However, they've passed their prime and now they try to survive by copying the randomness that Family Guy brought to the scene.

Family Guy was great for the first 4 seasons and they're getting good again now in their 7th, but for a while there they were so full of themselves that it seemed like every episode was a giant inside joke and was not at all that funny.

South Park is the only show that I've watched for any amount of time that just gets funnier and funnier with every season. Maybe it's because the creators are Canadian and so am I, but their level of satire and outright offense makes for an awesome show every time. So I voted for it.

Classic Simpsons seasons are unbeatable but today I must say Family Guy beats the hell out of them. South Park is awesome too. Probably the most mature, intelligent of the three. But I must go with the wacky, insensitive Family Guy humour.

I definitely agree that classic Simpsons like seasons 3-8 were their best, but I still think there are certain mostly early South Park episodes that are so much better than any Simpsons episode... actually or any show at all.

A few I love:

Tom's Rhinoplasty (1st season)
Rainforest Schmainforest (3rd season)
Tweek Vs. Craig (3rd season)
Chinpokomon (3rd season)
Timmy 2000 [ep. with Phil collins (Wow! Fanks!)] (4th season)

A few later ones I like a lot too:

Up The Down Steroid (Season 8)
The Jeffersons (Season 8)
Le Petit Tourette (Season 11)

Season 12 is definitely my least favorite season...

...I also love listening to all the music that's been on the show. Someone edited all the music and posted a torrent for it.  It's awesome.  I usually listen to my ipod on 'shuffle all', so its great when something hilarious from south park comes on random.  I actually got even more into the show once I got the music...

One great song was officially released, that was in an early episode, was also in their movie, Orgazmo and its on the soundtrack.  Its called Now You're A Man.  Montage is good too... America, F*ck Yeah (both versions) and I'm So Ronery from Team America are great too. Their 1st movie, Cannibal The Musical has some funny songs too. But you'd have to see the movie to enjoy the Cannibal ones though...

South Park by a mile.

As others have said, Simpsons used to be brilliant, but the new episodes are awful, unfunny, forced humour that doesn't work (reminiscent of Family Guy).

I know I've had my Family Guy rant somewhere on this discussion board so I won't go into that. Instead, I'll just say that Family Guy wouldn't get my vote.
