My first progressive rock concert! (besides the ones by myself in my room, hah)

I just walked back to the hotel from the concert, and let me tell you, it was PACKED. My father and I woke up at 5:10 to put up our chairs up as soon as we could. We got the 5th row on Steve Howe's side of the stage.
Throughout the day, my dad and I checked up on our chairs to make sure nobody altered them. We had borrowed a few strategies from the other die hard Yes fans seeking to keep their chairs in their origional spots. Anyway... we returned to our chairs 40min to the show. During the show, we had to get at least 4 groups of people who didn't bring chairs to keep us from blocking our view. That was incredibly distracting.

Setlist: (I'm pretty sure this is the exact order)
Tempus Fugit
Yours Is No Disgrace
And You And I
Steve's solo
Owner of a Lonely Heart
Perpetual Change
I've Seen All Good People
Roundabout
Encore: Starship Trooper

The show was pretty much how I expected. Steve had a great time with his guitar, everyone could tell. Seeing him mocking the emotion of the guitar with his facial expressions was incredible. Chris was a bit full of himself, as expected. I love that guy for it though. ;) The singer (can't remember his name) dead on sounds like Jon Anderson in Yes' prime. Though this singer is a bit more in touch with his feminine side, which is fine. Alan made no mistakes from what I could tell. Oliver (who I want to add-looks exactly like me) was incredible. His solo on Starship Trooper blew me away, just like would expect Rick to. He is the only one that made a mistake. He was supposed to supply the backwards piano opening to Roundabout. It didn't turn out too well. Steve laughed it off and the group pulled off the song with great force. It was a great show. I skipped out on Peter Frampton. Tragic. Fireworks at 10!

Yeah. I heard it was supposed to be an hour and a half set but that obviously didn't happen. Oh, I forgot they also played And You And I. So there's one Close to the Edge bit. :p

My favorite concert was in 2000.

After getting treated to almost 2 hours of Kansas (my favorite band), Yes soon began their show.  This was The Masterworks Tour:

Date:Thursday, July 27, 2000 (9 years, 11 months and 7 days ago)
City:Raleigh, North Carolina, United States Of America
Venue:Alltel Pavilion Amphitheater
Capacity:20,000
Lineup:
Jon Anderson (Vocals)
Steve Howe (Guitars)
Chris Squire (Bass)
Alan White (Drums)
Igor Khoroshev (Keyboards)
Setlist:Young Persons Guide To The Orchestra
Close To The Edge
Starship Trooper
Gates Of Delirium
Leaves Of Green
Heart Of The Sunrise
Ritual
I've Seen All Good People
Roundabout

Essentially eight songs in two hours.  Epic!  Big smile
