Hi there, I'm a 14 year old from England and I've been browsing this site for some time and I've decided to join because I'm a huge prog music fan! My favourites are Dream Theater, Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth, Rush and Pink Floyd.

I hope I enjoy it here.

Hi there, young Brit, and welcome!

But don't expect to reap my soul: I haven't got one of those...

Hello from me too. We have some Zappa, Holdsworth and Pink Floyd at home, but not Dream Theater or Rush. Howwever, this is a site where you can learn a lot about great progressive music.

For the 70s I’d check out

Yes (Fragile or Close to the Edge)

Genesis (Seconds Out)

Emerson, Lake and Palmer (Brain Salad Surgery)

For new school, my faves are:

Cario (Cairo)

Citizen Cain (Somewhere But Yesterday)

IQ (Ever)

Little Atlas (Wanderlust)

I have heard ELP and Yes, and I like them.

I know a lot of bands, not necessarily prog rock.
