April 10, 2010. the Black hole trio enteres Steve Albini's Electrical Audio today to begin work on their first full length album.
The Chicago trio's progressive rock, jazz fusion style has been gaining notice even wile keeping a low profile in preparation for this project. Unlike most recordings, BH3 is rolling bits wile recording live improvisations a style they have become known for.
Black hole trio's music is Muscular and articulate with a surprising ability to suddenly turn inward and melodic. Thoughtful song structures that remain open to extremely open to change in the moment. Mid period Crimson and Mahavishnu orchestra with a dose of Parlament would be a close description.
The band will be posting a running diary of the process and audio clips of the work in progress.

recording continues, after an initial block of days we have taken the raw tracks to our home studios to listen and rough mix. All things considered we filled a couple of hard drives and will likely fill a couple more when we go back in to Electrical audio.

BH3 will be playing a set on the Club Lucky stage this Sat, July10th at 7pm We are one of the only prog bands actively playing in Chicago. show your support for the genera and BH3
