I'm looking for general advice on transcribing prog songs to solo piano, if there's anyone here who has experience in such matters. I've just started work on Transatlantic's The Whirlwind- haven't run into any problems yet, but any advice would be appreciated.

P.S. I've already searched the Internet for sheet music/guitar tabs/MIDI files, and came up empty- if anyone knows of anything that I've missed, however, that would also be greatly appreciated.

you need to know how to play the piano.
the better pianist you are, the easier it will be.
you can use an audio-editing program ( Audacity ) to determine the hard parts.

earlier I was transcribing The Sham Mirrors by Arcturus myself and the result was quite good
