So yeah, this happened like last week, but I wasn't able to post cuz I have no internet at my house, I hate being poor. haha.

Me and Mark (guitar player for my band, his nick is MCCM on here actually) and mike, a casual aquantance of ours, went up to halifax to see Tony Levin give a bass clinic.

It was awesome, and he's mad at the bass, he played this cool song at the first that is gonna be on his new solo album, and it was wikid. But that's about the only song he played, besides a couple bars of Don't Give Up, and the rest he just talked and answered questions from the crowd and stuff, it was really interesting. After that, I got THRAK autographed, and gave him one of my band's cds (not that he'll listen to it, I just gave it to him for the hell of it  ).

While I was up there I also bought Olias of Sunhillow by jon anderson, Peter Gabriel 4, Foxtrot by Genesis, Red by King Crimson, Thrak by kc (which was the one I got signed), Starless and Bible Black by kc, power and the glory by gentle giant, and roll the bones by rush. Cost about a hundred bucks altogether for the cds, 7 to get into the tony levin clinic, and about 20 for gas to get up there, 20 to stay in a hostile (sp), and like 30 for food.

altogether, I think it was a pretty affordable and fun weekend.

You probably could've had him sign the Peter Gabriel one as well.  He played on that

Sounded like an exelent weekend!

Nice thing that "Papa bear" has time and will to do teaching. He's a great musician.

On my last vacation, I bought twice as much music as you, but I didn't get to take part in a clinic from a prog giant, so I'd say that progwise you had a better vacation than me.

BTW, by "hostile", do you mean "hotel"?
