I picked all the good songs, 22 of them. I have usually thought that top ten lists is not a very serious thing, but it's very good to do, it makes you re-evalue things. I'm still a bit puzzled. From best to least good

Follow You, Follow Me (3:59) < special to me for being the first Genesis song I got into due to radio airplay 1. Behind The Lines (5:43) 2. Duchess (6:25) 4. Man Of Our Times (5:34) 11. Duke's Travels (8:39) 12. Duke's End (3:08) 5. Dodo / Lurker (7:28) 6. Who Dunnit? (3:22) < I like this one even though it's everyone's favorite whipping boy. It's funny. 11. One Man's Fool (8:45) Hmm. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Actually, I enjoyed much of the post-Hackett catalogue live, with Daryl Stuermer on guitar! I first saw him with the band during the 'And Then There Were Three" tour, and he was brilliant! Much better 6-string guitarist than Rutherford, I don't know why Genesis never let him record with them. He would have added much energy to the music. I do like "And Then There Were Three," much of "Duke" and then I lost interest in the band. Pity.

I think it was (is) a good post. Did you draw some conclusion about? I think that the tracks that all of us put here are really varied and abundant. Seems to be that there are more people than what we think that's like Genesis tracks from the three men's era.

I love it, but there's so much to love
 , even post Hackett.If you want some proof of my love: I like the contrast between the depressed verses and the suddenly hopeful verses, which die down at the end.
I get shivers down the spine with some of the lines in the choruses ("There were kings"... and "If there's a fire...")
Wonderful song, but, as I said... they still had a lot of good stuff when they were a trio.

Well most likely all 10 tracks would come from either ATTWT and Duke, but I'll exclude directly Follow You, Turn It OFF Again, Misunderstanding. So I'll exclude these two albums.....
...........and concentrate on other later albums.... and that's where it gets difficult if not impossible to find 10 of them

| No son of mine, fading lights, and home by the sea were the only ones I really find to be worth listening to. Hacket was there main prog influence. Without him genesis just wasn't quite the same and really not as good in my opinion. |
