Even in the mid-90's there were some fantastic albums. Pick your favorite, if you can choose ONE!  NOTE: I'm only listing albums that i own! (exept Frusciante's album, that i've heard as whole) 5-stars: Mellon Collie And the Infinite Sadness Welcome to Sky Valley Alice in Chains Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T Shirt Superunknown 4-stars: One Hot Minute Jar Of Flies In Utero Unplugged Purple Down on the Upside 3-stars: VS King for a Day, Fool For a Lifetime MTV Unplugged in New York Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop So Obviously, i'm not voting for just ONE  |

Haven't heard them all, but I doubt something can get funkier than One Hot Minute from the ones listed.

Indeed it is funky, it's a good album with some nice songs, but it lacks the spark, energy and songwriting that Frusciante adds. And at times they sound more like Jane's Addiction than RHCP. I love Jane's Addiction, though However, "Aeroplane", "Walkabout", "Falling into Grace" & "Transcending" are great songs!  |

"Niandra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt" is probably the most raw, dirty & messy album i've heard that at the same time is so pure, expressive and beautiful
