Alex Chilton, of The Box Tops and Big Star 'fame', has passed.

I realize this will hardly rate a passing glance on this site.  However, those three Big Star albums are prog in spirit, as much as nascent power-pop can be, given their obvious disdain for popular music.
 
I occasionally enjoyed his music.  I always enjoyed his attitude.
