Just posted this in another forum and I'm tired of bringing it up.  If ya wonder where at least 1/3 of what we prog listeners listen to came from, listen no further:

This clip is relatively recent, but the guy was doing this in the early '60s, and I can assure you Emerson was well aware.

Oh, this clip could remind me that Paul Mauriat had played "Toccata And Fugue" with lyrical pop & rock arrangement in his album "Classics In The Air Vol. 1Smile ... very very delightful and fascinating, blended with jazzy and poppy flavour! Clap
