Now downloading the album ... Smile

My quick impression in their MySpace samples ... a melodic thrash metal style a bit tinged with psychedelic flavour ... different from "Psychedelic / Stoner Metal" IMHO, but good stuffs.

Which subgenre (of PM) are they fit for?
Sorry I'm not familiar with Prog Metal Subcategories ... Embarrassed

Will download it and get back to you guys tomorrow; in the meantime, you might want to have a look through the subgenre definitions and see which one you think you might fit in.

You said you use foobar, and foobar natively plays Ogg files. Or at least it was. Let me try.

Joel/ Alex could you inform the PMT if the music is for one of our subs, because I´m not able to play ogg files at the moment either. If Jewy Sabatay are added to the PM chart for evaluation I´ll find a way to listen to the album though. Any suggestions for freeware ogg to mp3 converters anyone?

I had a listen earlier tonight, and I think the band would be best suited to either prog-metal or crossover.

UMUR, you can listen to .OGG's through Foobar2000, which is available as freeware from their site: http://www.foobar2000.org/ - http://www.foobar2000.org/

Simply install Foobar, then open the folder using Foobar and you can listen to the album.

I''d be happy to do write you a review over the next few days and send it to you if you'd like, or I can post one on your artist page when/if you're added to the site

This is definitely Prog-Metal worth material.

The main connections I can think of are Indukti or Isis (but not that experimental) and Mastodon (not as extreme as their earlier material, but similar to Crack The Skye), maybe even Tool. There's a bit of everyone of these bands, in a very good mix. Nice stuff!

As for the genre is concerned, I'd say "classic" Prog-Metal (despite the obvious modern sound, as it's not that Experimental or Extreme).

Guys, can you please upload an MP3 version of the album? It would be a shame for you your excellent album not to reach all the people who would enjoy it.

If you want, I can do it myself and post the link here.

Sorry that it´s taken such a long while to get things settled here. Jewy Sabatay are now added to the Progressive Metal chart on ProgFreak for evaluation.

Thanks for all your help A...
