Just an idea I got........ I was thinking about this well known athlete which also has his own prog rock radio programme and is probably UK's biggest Magma fan. If the PA admins would agree, I would like to open up a thread where we all bungle together the questions and we then send of a sheet to this athlete. The idea is that we get a good Question sheet and hopefully some good answers back. We can also do this with popular musicians like for example David Cousins, Robert Fripp etc etc . Is this something the PA Admins and the PA community would find interesting ?

Not sure I completely understand, but if you are referring to a sort of Celebrity Interview about their love of prog, then it sounds like a good idea. As far as interviewing the stars of prog is concerned, people have sought questions for them via the forum in the past, and it's worked well.
By the way, I thought Magma's biggest UK fan was a snooker player?

Yes, I was referring to Steve Davis. He is the only celebrity I have in mind and he has some good viewpoints so let's send him some questions. I am also thinking about Citizen Cain who are interested in an interview. I want this interview to be as good as good as possible and your questions + mine = a good question sheet. Any interest in this ? PM me with questions or open up a thread. Yes, I remember the Guy Manning interview where the official interview was done and then we had an open microphone where everyone got to ask him questions and we all had a good time. Anyway, I just want good, informative interviews and some really good experience for everyone reading them. Hopefully, both you and the readers of PA in 2110 will also learn something from them.

When I am sending out question sheets now, I am telling the artists to hang around PA for a week so the PA community can ask them some questions themselves after I am finished torturing them. All of them thought that was an excellent idea. I think that is a good solution for this community. Sorry that I have wasted your time. Yes, Jeremy Clarkson and Steve Davis would be cool. Let's see what the future brings. |
