here's something different..and maybe not so known..I'd like simply to tell you the beauty of the album "Stan Getz..Bossa&More" ..Is there any bossa-jazz lover in?well..try to listen to this superb sax...especially in "Desafinado",or "The girl from Ipanema"(maybe my favourite song!  )...you won't be the same, again!!

I'm sorry Domi, but i don't like Stan Gets that much... I prefer more energetic saxophone players (like Cannoball Adderly). |

Look for Getz/Gilberto, featuring Antonio Carlos Jobim, it's a classic and contains the previously mentioned "Desafinando" and "The girl from Ipanema".

Yes, I like bossa nova, at least Antonio Carlos Jobim. I love his masterpiece Waves (1967), as well as some of his work with Elis Regina. Stan Getz: I still need to check him out. Thanks for the reminder. |

Getz is one of the most over-rated bassist IMHO. ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |
