Anyone familar with this Spanish band? Their first
album Quasar 2C361(1977) is a mix of Tangerine
Dream - Force Majeure, Yes - Topographic Oceans
and Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. All
instrumental and being recorded in 1976 they are
very creative, some similarities and something new
at the time. If you like any of the above albums you
might want to look into their first 2-3 albums before
the band fragmented. A welcome addition to the
progression of cosmic progressive rock in europe.

The keyboards mainly sound like Anyone's daughter and Tangerine Dream's albums of the early 80's, especially Exit, Thief and Underwater sunlight . When there is repetitive sequenced drum beat, the keyboards are more melodious, still very floating and sustained. They can also be very irregular solos too. I like, when there is, the refined synth rythm a la Tangerine Dream. There is also a guitarist having a free style sound: he rather makes some unstructured electric solos, but his Spanish acoustic guitar notes are quite good. The music is a good mix between electronic rock and New Age. Any amateur of Tangerine Dream of the 80's should like this record.
