Well... I know if I ask this one on the real world I would be purpose to die an ugly death... but safely I'm here behind my computer... so I will say that I really hate U2... I guess "w**kers" really define them... guess the band isn't that bad... but Bono... just 'cause Chris Martin is worse he is not the man with the must annoying voice -at least for me...- then Coldplay... Nickelback... Maroon 5... just weak as musicians and very very lame on creativity... and Korn represent a different style... maybe theyr'e not that bad, but I just can hear them... so... Maybe I'm wrong... you tell me please...!!! explain yourselves... have fun... ------------- |

All of those are bad (to varying degrees) but the worst band ever IMHO Job for a Cowboy Worse than all those in the poll combined |

As much as I dislike some of these, they all have some artistic value in one way or another. Mainly the worst non-prog band is probably some guys we have never heard of. I'm sure there are worse.
However, I think Five Finger Death Punch are pretty terrible.... -------------

haha im glad someone made a poll like this.. i´ve always wanted to say that Nickelback are the most uninspired band of all time! i know them only from the radio, but allways they play a "new" song it sounds exactly as all their other songs thats so weird that im seriously considering they want to make fun of the listeners. and this goes on now for years... i just can´t get why they can´t just varie their songs a little.. damn thats driving me mad!    (korn i think is not so bad at all. for their genre they make acceptable music i think) ------------- It's just a ride... <3 |

Ok, I feel offended, I actually LIKE a couple bands in this poll (U2 and Coldplay)......

Have you ever heard the supposed "bass" in Korn? All it sounds like most of the time is something clicking. That alone is enough to make them the worst on the list IMO.

Not a band but an artist.
I have always despised Feargal Sharkey. "You Little Theif?","A Good Heart?".ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH Bury those songs in a deep concrete lined bunker seal it up forever never to be UNCOVERED AGAIN!!!!!
For all the Australians here I never liked Darryl Braithwaite's comeback in the early 90's,he did some good stuff with Sherbert in the early 70's("You've Got The Gun", "Free The People" "Cassandra" etc) but he came back in the 90's with absolutely awful bland and totally uninteresting songs like "Days Go By", and probably for me anyway, THE WORST Australian song of the nineties..."The Horses"

While i tend to agree that Nickelbacks songs tend to sound the same. When you combine "Hero"( a song i do like) with Max Payne you get this.................

I really cannot stand Bono's voice and attitude... he pretend to be more a celebrity than a musician... and I really don't like that... Korn maybe is not that bad... but I could not remember Deftones when I was making the poll... I'm glad there's people who agreed with me... Sorry if somebody feel ofended... but hey... music is about tastes... and this are specially not my taste... and Westlife...??? at least I was thinking on rockbands... if we break that wall... the list would be endless.. jejeje... ------------- |

Of the list Niickelback by a long mile, then Maroon 5. All therest are pretty decent, including Korn though their decentness didn't last long...

Foo Fighters, followed by Devo. Foo Fighters- the most lamest song writing I've ever heard, I've never actually heard those guys play a single tune. David Grohl should just stay behind the drumkit. I notice from your list of bands that you do like they are not restricted to Progressive Rock and contain a number of new-wave and post-punk bands, genres that extended well into the 90s and beyond - for example bands like The Cranberries, Belly and Miranda Sex Garden would fit well in you list of bands you Ought To Check Out. ------------- What? |

This gives me very mixed emotions. This makes me laugh, wince in pain and disgust, and it gives me a higher self-esteem Besides that, I would say Nickelback is the worst band on the list. I live in Ohio and the only thing that is ever on the radio is Nickelback. The same song or incredibly similar song is playing on every single station. The other bands on the list are dreadful but Nickelback is on a whole new level.
