FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

British band DeeExpus revealed the title of the follow up to their highly acclaimed debut album “Half Way Home”.

The New Album, entitled "King of Number 33", is planned to be released around May 2010 to coincidence with the band’s first ever gig in USA at ROSfest 2010.

Andy Ditchfield: “Writing and production has begun in earnest and will feature all members of the band. At present we have two songs almost completed alongside a multitude of recorded ideas, riffs and passages. As we did with Half Way Home, we are hoping to post one or two videos on YouTube during the course of the albums production, so stay tuned for those.”

You can already have a sneak preview of "King of Number 33" as one of the new tracks - “Me And My Downfall” - was recorded at soundcheck during the band’s most recent tour with Touchstone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdNsFFm7NOg - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdNsFFm7NOg .

Tony Wright explains the lyrical concept behind the forthcoming album: "The King of Number 33 is a tale based loosely on a local eccentric from my childhood. This man used to sit behind the driver on the local rural bus all day, every day, for several years - never saying a word to anyone, never going anywhere- just backwards and forwards between the two towns until the route finished for the night and he would go home and wait for the morning journey. One day he disappeared and rumours abounded amongst the local youth as to what happened to him. It transpired that Social Services became involved after a complaint from a member of the public that he'd made her feel uneasy. He hadn’t done anything, she was just ignorant. Anyway, he was subsequently refused travel on the bus and proceeded to have psychotic episodes culminating in his being sectioned under the mental health act. The King of Number 33 is my take on his story..."
