I have been here for five days and have ranked up enough posts to be a "senior member". (Maybe this belongs in my 'addicted to prog' thread.)
So people with 100 posts have the same rank as people with 11,000. Now I'm not suggesting that the people here are a big pack of rankers who care about such things, but this does seem unjust. I vote we call an emergency session of PA Forums to come up with a new post count ranking system, with a different prog artist being the title at every division of 500 up to 20,000. Those with 20,000+ are Rick Wakeman. Those with less than 500 are Phil Collins, which I think will encourage a lot of posting from new members.
You fill in the rest.

Rick Wakeman may have a nice bum, but he's no match for Kylie.
And to elevate the discussion, who has the nicest bum in prog? Pictures to support your assertions please.

I agree, I reckon you should have at least 5000 posts before you become a Senior Member. We'd have to come up with something special for James so has about 20 billion posts so far.

Nothing wrong with her exept her singing (and the song she choses to sing). Yeh, I know, I'm a bloody elitist. (I'm a loser baby so why don't you) kill me.
To the point : As a 4 year senior member in this site I have no problem with my status. It's kind of funny how easily you climb from newbie via gropie to senior member but it realy means nothing. If you want to become a colaborator then you have to contribute the site on regular bases and that's a different story.

Itīs really a bit strange that the groupie and the senior member starts so early, but i would not exchange this titles by artistīs names, because who will the one to judge? (i think we would have to make a top 10 greatest prog rock artists of all time, then it would work) because the opinions about in wich order the names appear are very diverse...

I guess Senior Members could have a really big Tool tag "Major Tool" perhaps, or as I once used as a username long ago despite not knowing the band, "Big Tool 4 U").

It would be a lot more fun if there was a gentleman's agreement to post in the style of the musician whose name they had, though the 30,000 word dissertations from the Mike Oldfields might wear a bit thin.

There is almost nobody beyond Kylie Minogue who I would rather.... who I would rather... well the thing is I so want to... b... I really want to b... buy.... yes, buy her flowers and have a friendly chat with.
Don't get me started on Kylie Minogue though, there are ladies present. Or at least it's scientifically possible that there are ladies present, this is a prog forum. Or my wife will read over my shoulder.

They wouldn't manually change the ranks for each member....
I would support another rank for more posts, or making the number of posts required for senior member higher. 100 posts is almost nothing.

What else livens up a forum is the ability to edit other people's titles/avatars, but not your own.
