Former Curved Air violinist Eddie Jobson back with Curved Air at The Beaverwood Club, Chislehurst Sunday August 9th 7.30pm bookings 0208 761 9078 / http://www.facebook.com/l/;www.feenstra.co.uk - http://www.facebook.com/l/;www.feenstra.co.uk

Eddie was jetting in from Los Angeles this week to perform with Curved Air next weekend at the 'Memories of Woodstock' Festival . He was standing in for Darryl Way who is currently unwell. The festival dramatically collapsed on sunday August 2nd

Promoter Pete Feenstra stepped in to bring the band to the Beaverwood Club Chislehurst to give Eddie and Curved Air the opportunity to perform together live before Jobson returns to the US starts rehearsals next wednesday for his stateside U-Z tour.

Curved Air's iconic vocalist Sonja Kristina and drummer Florian Pilkington Miksa will be joined for the first time in 36years by the legendary violinist /keyboard player who joined the band as a brilliant 17-year-old in 1972.

Eddie later replaced Brian Eno in Roxy Music for three years before recording and performing with Frank Zappa and Jethro Tull. By the end of the decade, the US-based artist was the driving force behind the progressive group UK before retiring from live performances until very recently.

Curved Air’s current line-up also includes top ranking talent in guitarist Kit Morgan and bassist Chris Harris.
The chart-riding Curved Air have been performing dates in Europe and Japan. Various catalogue reissues of the band's seminal '70's releases are complemented by 'Reborn', a new release revisiting many of their most popular songs such as 'Back Street Luv', 'Melinda More Or Less', 'Vivaldi' and 'It Happened Today'.

I met Eddie today at Heathrow, he is currently up north visiting his family. He will then fly to Exter for some rehersals before the gig this sunday.

His sound engineer is cool and he has worked with Beachboys and Emerson (Emerson/Lake/Palmer - aka ELP).  I'm sure after a few days rehersals in sleepy Devon, the gig on sunday will be good.
