None of those names really light my fire...some are pretty good though, especially Miller.
Edited beacuse I gorgot to "l"s and a "though".
Edited again because I meant "forgot" and not "gorgot"
And edited yet again...I meant "two" and not "to"
Aaarhhh!

Haha. Stan Lee was the first name that I recognized, and he isn't listed in the polls.

Surprisingly enough, as much of a geek as I am, I never got hooked by the comic books scene. I'm really not sure why though since I enjoyed the handful or so that I have read, and I always enjoy the TV Shows/Cartoons/movies that are based on comic books.

That certainly makes sense to me, it just so happened that his was the only name that I recognized.

Wait, are we only counting artists, or authors of any kind? If we are also counting Story Writers, I demand for Lee, Moore, Finger and Kane to be added.

Hey, fusionfreak, good idea to give these uncouth ruffians some culture, but I think that Montellier, Noetzinger and all these French artists won't ring a bell. Maybe you should show pieces of the art of each artist mentionned?
I voted Hugo Pratt, immortal creator of Corto Maltese.

Isn't it funny how I'm constantly overlooked? I mentioned that Moore was missing twice on this blessed thread, and yet some other guy comes along and states it as if it's the first time it came up.
Funny community, this.
(and yes, I'm joking).

Not uncouth.I have heard of most of these artists, but my original statement still stands.
Besides...actually liking a Fench artist doesn't make one "couth" anyway.

You're really confusing me now. First you say "authors" then you say "artists" and now we seem to be back to square one again.
What is this poll about?

I wouldn't say that. Not only he was the contemporary of the underground comix artists, but there were adults comics before him, only not very famous (and I won't even talk about the 'Tijuana Bibles').
@Snow Dog: that's true, it won't make you "couth". But Pratt???I pity the fool who have never read Corto Maltese.

Wait . . . what?
Are you saying this is a poll for you to expand your horizons, now? I was sure you simply wanted to know which author we liked the most. IF that were the case, you were missing a bunch.
Now it makes more sense, I think . . . you're wanting us to suggest other authors you have yet to really get into, right?
In that case . . . Miller. By far.
