I'll have to think about this, but I can't guarantee that I will come up with anything.
What kind of instrumentation do you have?

Do what all most prog bands seem to do these days and name yourself after a classic prog song e.g. Gates of Delirium.

Failing that, I used to be in a band called Sweaty Armpit and the Kneecaps. As we're not using the name now, you can have it for a (un)reasonable fee.

I'll play drums, bass, flute, and maybe a bit of sax while my friend will play guitar, piano, and harmonica.

Name your band after a JT song.

I'll let you know if I come up with any more brilliant ideas. And what I said has nothing to do with what chopper said. Angry

Jethro Tull were named after a historical person. There was a Finn in the 19th century, whose name has kinda prog sound to it: Uno Cygnaeus - a priest who is considered the father of the Finnish public school system. Just "Cygnaeus" sounds quite nice. It might be a bit difficult name, though. But if that 30-minute prog epic is your own composition, you could call it "Cygnaeus X-Uno" Big smile

announcement: The band name is *drum roll trarissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssh* It is the one and only absolute name which incidentally is uberly uber awesome and epic on so many levels. the amount of epicness provided will only cause your heart to stop beating and lie down on the ground, very similar to the acts of the man in the "Just" video by Radiohead, or as I like to call him, El Stupido Del Patzo Casa. The name is superior, far above Aragorn224, Vompatti and the Flailers, Kreash, Dotimer, Dingo poop, and many more, it just is criterionally and superbatiriorally better. If you are not shocked by this excellently excellent name, you will literally, poop your pants OUT, of your panthole, also knows as the a**e, a very important poopery part of the body. The fact that the name is actually not revealed during this part of the sentence, is very much like it is called catherin bull, by me and my friend, which incidentally lead the band. We decided to call it Catherin Bull because the name is totally awesome.

Can somebody check if she's still alive? I know she recieved a prize in 1983...

Drum Roll?

Funny name for a band that.  Should've stuck with Dingo Poop.

The Australian architect Catherin Bull was alive about 10 minutes ago according to the net.

So you've got some songs already? You should do the whole myspace/ purevolume thing and put the link in your sig once you get some recorded.
