I just went into the controversial Decembrists thread and instead of generating the page it started to fill in on each side with vertical white bars and then locked up my browser.  Using Firefox here.

Maybe the pyramid is messing with my browser somehow?
I'll see if it does the same thing on my work computer.  But I went in twice and it happened both times.

I think those huge pyramids should be discouraged (even if I can see the point of demolishing that particular threadWink), since there are people who have slow connections, and a page could take forever to load with all that stuff. Not to mention that they are somewhat hard on the eyes.

I'm on my work computer and the page loaded just fine.  But those bars that started generating  when I went into the page were exactly the width of a pyramid step. It was really weird, they just started filling in like an animation until they covered up the top post and my browser locked up.  Might be something with my home computer.

I usually try see to it that only one of my posts per page has my signature as a courtesy to those with slower computers.  Well, off to try and set up a print server.  I also try to avoid making pyramids particularly those where you go in and respond to someone's comments in a different color font.  I don't know why but they really annoy me.  LOL

It's definitely the pyramid. If I scroll very fast, I only see black in the thread. If I scroll very slow, the pyramid loads and I can read it.

What if the pyramid is the cause for the front page error? LOL
