EDIT: If you're new to RSS-Feeds - check out the definition from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS - Wikipedia :

RSS (most commonly translated as "Really Simple Syndication") is a family of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_feed - web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works—such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog - blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video—in a standardized format. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS#cite_note-Netsc99-1 - [2] An RSS document (which is called a "feed", "web feed", http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS#cite_note-GuardWF-2 - [3] or "channel") includes full or summarized text, plus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metadata - metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place. RSS feeds can be read using http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Software - software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader", or " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggregator - aggregator ", which can be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_application - web-based , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application_software - desktop-based , or mobile-device-based. A standardized http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XML - XML file format allows the information to be published once and viewed by many different programs. The user subscribes to a feed by entering into the reader the feed's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniform_Resource_Identifier - URI – often referred to informally as a " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URL - URL " (uniform resource locator), although http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URI#Technical_view - technically the two terms are http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URI#Relationship_to_URL_and_URN - not exactly synonymous – or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new work, downloads any updates that it finds, and provides a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_interface - user interface to monitor and read the feeds.

BTW: Of course I have a hidden agenda here ... but it's not really promoting my website, but to promote RSS feeds in general. I think that too few users here are using them.

^ then maybe it is time to use a more modern browser. Wink

I had a look at the server log ... my guess is that you're using Safari. Not a bad browser, but for some reason Apple decided not to add RSS support.

^ ok, that explains it ... Chrome has no RSS support at all.

Try Google Reader:

http://www.google.com/reader - http://www.google.com/reader

RSS-Feeds aren't supposed to be viewed in a web browser anyway ... the real advantage is to use some software (or website) to manage a list of feeds.

The "script" is what makes it an RSS feed. Try pasting the address in iGoogle's "add feed" form ... I assure you it will work fine.Smile

EDIT: In order to increase the acceptance of my feed, I've now integrated it with feedburner (as is the case with the PA feed):

http://feeds2.feedburner.com/progfreak/releases - http://feeds2.feedburner.com/progfreak/releases
