Just read this on DPRP.net:

ÄNGLAGÅRD: Drummer Mattias Olsson writes on his MySpace http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=57224022&blogId=491218203 - Blog :
Änglagård have been working on some new recordings. It has been a very long journey and the whole band has been involved in various stages. Naturally never at the same time thanks to modern technology. Ideas are brewing and stirring. Alar Suurna (probably the best mixer in Sweden) will be cleaning up and disciplining the sounds in its final stages."
Änglagård are one of the most influential prog bands of the early 90s. They recorded two albums, "Hybris" in 1992 and "Epilog" in 1994, before breaking up. "Hybris" is currently http://www.alvarsdotter.com/ - reissued .

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Hoping for a mind blowing comeback, like Cynic had. But releasing an album that tops their last ones is probably near impossible Tongue

So, one of my top 5 favourite bands has reformedand are about to release new material....I am officially THIS close to having a stroke!!!Big smile

if the quality of the 2 new songs they played in their last gig in2003 is any indication, I say we have nothing to be afraid, although I would like to see them revisiting some of the accesibility of hybris as opposed to the HIGH experimentalism of epilog.

No idea myself.  I'd keep an eye on that myspace blog, and on their website.  I had noticed a couple of photos a few months ago on Matthis' myspace site that were of the band recording........but with no details about what exactly they were doing.  I guess now we know Big smile

Anyway, this should be interesting.

I've longed hopelessly for this for quite some time now, and as somebody already mentioned I'm too THIS close of having a serious heart attack :)

Very cool. I love both Epilog and Hybris. I'm confident whatever comes next will be just as good.

Looking forward for their new material and maybe a tour (saw them in 1993 and it was a great concert!)
