My personal favorite is Bernd Steidl, I've just listened his album Paganiniana and it's even better than the first one Acoustic Psychedellyc Overture.  He even sounds better than McLaughlin, DiMeola and Paco de Lucía together

On a technical criteria, i would nominate paco de Lucia and Mac laughlin. I don't know Bernd Steidl

IMHO they're all great in their field of music
(although i have to admit that I don't know Bernd Steidel either )

Steve Howe is the best off this list, but I think JIMMY PAGE can send them all to the woodshed.

 

 

..oh and Chet Atkins is an acoustic god also.

Well, I strongly recomend you to listen to Bernd Steidl, specially his album Paganiniana, you won't believe it, i really don't know if i can post any mp3 but i would happilly share one or more
