I hate when someone calls his guitar an axe, but hey, show me yours, I'll show you mine.
I've posted my strat, but here's my acoustic. It's a Monroe Morgan. Kinda ovation styled with the plastic bowl back. I bought it because the neck was similar to my strat and I can trade off and the feel is basically the same. The pic is my friend Fred and I after jammin' on some ELP tunes.
Here's the strat again.

My guitar isn't all that nice, but I get the most out of it.
This not the exact one, but the same model:
It's a lot better than my old one:
I used to cut loose with that all the time...

That's the one on my wall with the Fragile sticker on it. The exact
same model. I could never reach the higher frets so I took a jigsaw to
it and cut away a big lump of it. Better now

I'm not trying to dis you, or anything, but the point of the thread is to show YOUR personal equipment, not some aged rock stars hugely expensive custom built guitar. That stuff is all over the web and only results in jealous longings and idol worship.

If "YES," then post your guitar.

I never really liked Flying V's, the feel was off and it's hard to sit and play with them. But hey, to each his own I guess.

In opposit to all the gearheads out there, I am a tonehead. I don't understand why people spend so much money on their equipment to get something that is ok with everybodey, instead of buying a guitar and mod it to suit just you. This way you get a guitar customised to your spesification, and you get the tone you always wanted. I would never ever dream of buing a prs. Yes, they are great to play, and they sound ok, but you end up paying 20000 for laquer.
I myself now have a 1964 hondo-strat copy, with the neck shaped after my spesification. It got a gotho tremolo with piezo, sperzel locking tuners, a brass nut and brand new jumbo frets. I have Duncan pickups in midle and bridge possition, and a 1971 fender strat in the neck possition. It also have some custom wiering, with a mid boost controll and 7 pickup switching oppertunities. My best friends dad, which is a true gearhead once tried this guitar, and swore it was the best thing he had ever played, and that he had never heard a guitar with such a great tone. This comes from a man with four PRS guitars (one witch is the Santana 1), a bunch of vintage fenders, a couple of gibson LP's and a lucile. He claimed it was the best sounding vintage fender he had ever played. You should have seen his face when i told him i bought the guitar of ebay for 80$. Everyne who plays this guitar falls in love with it.
This is the guitar, but it's before modding. It is now raped with sandpaper, and looks realy reliced.
My other guitars are:
a 1993 samick, moded with gotho tuners, a real floyd and EMG's. Plays like a dream, and sounds very much like the ESP KH2. Looks like a Ibanez s-series.
a 80's korean kramer strat copy by hondo with dimarzio PUs, mighty might bridge gotho tuners and custom wiering. This also has a special shaped neck, much like the hondo, and the fretboard is scalloped. Added a quilted maple top, laquered in transperant green with a burst to black and abalone inlays.
A 1996 Epiphone LP with duncans and gotho tuners. Plays like a dream.
A squire strat, moded to a hard top hollow-body with a f-fole. Has an acoutic bridge, and is strung with nylon strings. Piezo electronics and gotho tuners
The squire and first hondo is not pictured. Old photo.
I think all this guitars have costed me around 2500$, witch is is much less than a good Prs... And all this guitars is just the way I want them. Sort of my own customs, with the set up I find suitable for each spesific guitar. I plug it all in home made effects, a Jen crybaby and a old Hiwatt 50 watt combo with an aditional 2*12 cabinett.

well, i have some Axe´s =p
IBANEZ SA, my mainly one, colored as the right one, altough im thinking of painting it as a Sunburst, but with a vivid, but dark green in the middle. Also i traded the pickups for seymour´s ;). RECOMMENDED!
I just cant seem to find a picture and im too lazy to take a photo, but for dropped D tunes i use a Kramer wich i got as a gift, and it surprised me to see its quality and sounding, mind if get the model tomorrow too? =p
now these comes with a history, i got dumped by a girl, and as a way to not get in total depression and stuff, i started to buy guitars to make me happy, one of them i didnt even tried before i bought, i had the money, and i just wanted to have someting to feel happy, that´s all
and then i found the Cort guitars, which makes BEAUTIFUL guitars, and also really good sounding ones, if im gonna use a Clean sound and i need a "full" tone, i use this one
Cort KX 1F
another one i bought
Zenox Series
and the one i bought without testing =p (but has a really nice sound!)
maybe it doesn´t seem to beautiful, but its polished, instead of (putted that product that shines and protects)
sorry, brazilian, don´t know how to speak this one ;)
and that´s it
i also own a Takamine Acoustic, but since its a brazilian factory, you guys wouldn´t know how it sounds anyway ;)

Hey, I have one of those too!!
I think it has a great feel and look for such a low priced guitar, I've
been thinking of changing the pick-ups, and I'm sure that could make it
sound really great! But I actually think that an amp is much more
important in your "sound", the guitar mostly needs to feel good. Surely
the guitar has alot to do with it, but a great guitar through a cheap
amp sounds much worse than a cheap guitar through a great amp.
Haha, yeah, I also agree that the higher frets are annoying to get to,
though I don't think that I'll be taking a jigsaw to my guitar anytime
soon...

This is the only good picture of any of my guitars I have, so... I'll put more up as I can.
This is a 1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom. MY father bought it from a fellow in the late seventies (apparently, this guy liked to wear huge belt buckles, as there is a tremendous gouge in the back of the body that looks like it was worn down by a buckle or something like that). My father took out the stock pickups and put in a pair of Carvin M22 pickups, along with two switches that enable the pickups to switch from operating like humbuckers to single-coils. Uh, I think it also used to have a pickguard, but he must have taken that off as well. I replaced the stock strap holders with Schaller strap locks. Soon I hope to replace the pickups with DiMarzio Evolutions and replace the crappy machine heads.

basic all-around playing CD's, and the instruments you see. they're
only 15 watt heads, but you'd never know it by the volume. cabinets

Yeah there pretty good, I have the FM 212R It cost about $1000 Australian dollars, reliable and very powerful.

Here is my gear (silly-sounding rhyme there...):
Ibanez ATK 600 bassguitar. It's an old model, not in production
anymore. Bodywood is alder, with a flame maple veneer on the top and
back. Neck is three-piece maple with a rosewood fingerboard, and a
rosewood veneer on the headstock. The lone tripplecoil pickup sounds
fantastic, you can get almost any tone out of it. The bass plays
nicely, feels a lot like a Fender P-bass. I found this one new in a
store here in Stockholm, where it had been hanging for ten years. They
must have been desperate to get rid of it, as I payed only about 410
dollars for it (although I'd happily pay twice as much). A great find.
The finish is a little too blue in the above pic, so here's another
one, with the pickguard off (still too blue though, the bass is
actually more green than blue):
I also have a Fender Classic series Jazz Bass. Mexico made, but great
value for money. Bodywood is alder, neck is maple with a rosewood
fingerboard. Sounds and plays great, and I have never found a bass I
liked better than this one. I bought it for about 900 dollars, and as
far as I'm concerned it was a great buy. I've made some cosmetic
changes to it, I won't bother explaining them, but see for yourselves
in these pictures (yes, it came in that colour):
(That is my signature on a piece of tape, no real engraving)
Sorry for the rather blurred pictures of the Fender.
Last but not least, a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive effect, for those times when I feel like play something "hard" . For guitar, but it sounds great for bass aswell. A little worn on the outside.
I also have a Peavey Basic 60 bassguitar amplifier, it sounds good and
works for both gigging and casual playing at home. I'm saving for a new
amplifier stack though, I'm not sure which brand yet, but I'm fond of
EBS and Warwick amps.

Here's my current guitar (click the image for a high resolution image of the beautiful neck-through construction):
EDIT: It's an ESP Horizon NT-2.

I have no idea how to play it but here's mine:
It was a present so it's probably some cheap fake.
It says "made in Korea" anyway

I've been wanting to check out these fancier Washburn basses for quite
a while, but they're hard to get hold of in Sweden. You are lucky to
have one, I've heard great things about them.

15 years ago I had a Washburn N2 ... nice guitar!
Edit: the above picture doesn't show my guitar ... I just borrowed it from someone else. My N2 doesn't look as good today ... I disassembled it, scalloped the neck, fixed the vibrato system and changed the color (twice).
the peculiar thing is that the tuners are on the "wrong side" of the headstock.
