Just had a brainwave, wouldn't it be a great idea to have a picture timeline for each band on the site? They would provide information like when members joined and left, important albums, different phases the bands go through blah blah blah, the possibilities are almost endless. Perhaps also we could create and entire prog timeline that would give information on key albums of the genre, key bands, key musicians, when the different sub-genres first started to emerge... as with the above, there is so much we could do with the idea, and i think it would be a great additional function to the site. For example, I wanted to know when the band Voivod actually started to become progressive so I could just go out and buy that album.

It's a possibility surely?

I'm not sure how great of a benefit a timeline would give, since music is not like the concurrent historical events timelines usually focus on, but if you want to make them, knock yourself out. ;-)

well for prog history buffs I think it'd be very cool, a lot of work though on top of an already heavy workload here

I could do it for bands I am familiar with, but for some bands with a long career, a huge output and a different line-up on almost every album (Hawkwind, Gong, Guru Guru, Embryo) this would really be some job.
