Does that mean that E isn't working with the LP these days?

What`s he going to be playing? I think L and P have their own gigs. I saw P a couple of summers ago playing with a couple of kids and all they did was E,L and P stuff on guitar drums & bass. Wasn`t bad but it just seemed like an EL and P tribute band. I like Ls solo stuff and the fact that he does a lot of charity work. I just finished E`s book Pictures Of An Exhibitionist. I bought it when it first came out but never got around to reading it until just recently. If E comes to Montréal I`ll definitely go and see him. Doesn`t matter what he plays. London Bridges Falling Down, Rondo fanfare classical stuff. The guy`s what 65 this year? I don`t think he`s going to be throwing Hammond organs around the stage anymore.

Saw them in Moscow, almost 3-hour show was awesome.
I remember my thought after the gig: "E is the only irreplaceable letter in ELP abbreviation".

^wow that's a quite great list! Fanfare for The Common Man, if it's the version of Works, then it should be pretty awesome, as well as Tarkus, Hoedown, and all the classics listed there.

^ Add here Keith's famous Moog, organs, synths, grand piano, solid rhythm section, big collection of Bonilla's guitars...

I also like a lot the way Emo talks to audience - it is full of respect to his listeners and, at the same time, with a good sense of humour. Clap

Great, finally a chance to see Keith Emerson live! Big smile

Like Vibrationbaby, I saw Carl Palmer live a few summers ago. But it would be a real treat to see KE live as well!

I guess E is still at it. But how is E going to do Lucky Man without L? Can`t see anyone else doing that one except L.

^ Lucky Man without L sounded well live. Marc Bonilla does not try to copy Lake, but his voice suits perfectly to the music in live environment.

From the other hand, I had great expectations from new Keith Emerson Band album with Bonilla. It is probably the best Keith solo album, but something's missing. I think Lake's voice expresses wider spectrum of emotions.

Personally after seeing Keith and Mark live a few times, I thought Lucky Man without the L sounded like crap.  I heard Dave Kilminster do it with Keith also... and that was even worse.  Mark also does From the Beginning... and besides the voice.. his guitar just doesn't sound as good.  But I just love Bitches Crystal.

The recorded "Hang On to a Dream" for the red boxset.. Greg did a great job on this song.

But just saw a recent reference on Carl's website that might be inspiring for 2009:

2009 is shaping up to be one of Palmer's busiest years in his
career, that began with The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown and spanned
four decades plus. In addition to select dates with the Carl Palmer
Band, Palmer will return to his drum kit, propelling the powerful sound
of the original ASIA. There is also talk of an ELP reunion tour in the
fall.

Wow, a good amount of shows in the Mid-Atlantic-definately will check Keith out.  I want to know if he has a good amount of ELP in his set or if he balances it with newer stuff. Personally I would like to hear stuff outside of ELP in addition to the stuff I know well, makes for an exciting show when some of the music is new to your ears.

Anybody seen him recently?

His last tour in the States was 2006, but even then he added a few new numbers and of course, they do some stuff my Marc Bonilla.  From what I understand, this is a tour for the new album, so I'm sure he'd doing plenty from it... including Prelude to a Hope...

I am not sure which show I will go to. The Rams Head On Stage is an over 21 venue so it will have to be either the Philadelphia show on the 6th or the Alexandria show on the 2nd.

Keith Emerson
Sunday, June 7
Starland Ballroom
Sayerville, NJ

YOU CAN PURCHASE TICKETS HERE:
http://www.daysbeforetomorrow.com/tickets.htm - http://www.daysbeforetomorrow.com/tickets.htm

My melodic progressive rock band, Days Before Tomorrow, is opening for Keith Emerson, and we have advance tickets to the show. Total price is just $27 per ticket, and through our website you can buy the tickets via credit card or paypal (securely, of course).

I hope you'll come out not just for the amazing Keith Emerson show, but also to check out our band. You can hear us at h http://www.myspace.com/daysbeforetomorrow - ttp://www.myspace.com/daysbeforetomorrow -- but note that the first song that currently auto-plays is the "radio" song and thus the least progressive (to us, anyway). But check out the other material and if you're a fan of Marillion/Porcupine Tree/Rush/Yes/Genesis/Styx/Kansas with a slight touch of Dream Theater, you'll enjoy our brand new CD. It was produced by rock legend Ron Nevison, and has been nominated for rock album of the year by the 2009 Los Angeles Music Awards.

CANCELLATION OF THE HOUSE OF BLUES - SUNSET BLVD CONCERT

For those of you who had
purchased tickets for the concert at the House of Blues Hollywood on
May 7th, that is now marked as cancelled on the HOB website, I'd like
to inform you that the date/concert was never confirmed. It has been
our decision to consolidate shows in Los Angeles area to one show, and
we are still playing at
The Canyon Club (Agoura Hills, near Woodland Hills) on May 8th. We apologize for any inconveniences this has caused those of you who purchased tickets from
House of Blues. Please
contact them for obtaining refunds.

We hope you can come to our
Canyon Club show on May 8th. You can purchase the ticket from

There's a very good rumor going round today that says that Keith Emerson will be cancelling his entire US and European tour.  Seems he's having more problems with the nerves in his right hand and will be needing either surgery or therapy.

This was also mentioned today on Marc Bonilla's myspace page... so looks pretty definite.

This just in from Keith's website.  I think you'll find the part mentioning ELP very interesting....

IMPORTANT - TOUR CANCELLATION NOTICE

Dear Friends,

It is with much regret that I have to announce that due to past right hand injuries the resulting nerve damage and dystonic factor has made it unable for me to play the keyboards to the high standard I have always set myself and have to cancel my forthcoming Keith Emerson Band featuring Marc Bonilla USA  and European tours.

I am also going to have to cancel the proposed Emerson, Lake and Palmer tour which we were going to do at the end of this year.

I will of course continue with my physical/chiropractic/acupuncture therapy etc. in the hope that this will eventually get me back on form.

This is absolutely devastating to me as music will always be my main key to communicating with a world-wide audience. I know how much my fans and fellow band members were looking forward to these shows and it saddens me greatly to have to come to this decision and make this announcement.

Thank you for your understanding.

Keith Emerson

This another problem on his right hand is terrible. I'm not doctor but to him recovery all moviments on form will be difficult. Probabily a new surgery would be necessary added to physiotherapy.

My friends it's more serious than we are thinking. You can be right!

We have to pray and ask for God recovery him!
