I figure the thread title inspired a great deal of confusion. Now before you go reporting this thread for being off-topic just bear with me for a bit because this actually does pertain to prog.
First some background: For those of you that don't know who Hilary Duff is (hopefully most of you ) she was given a show on the Disney channel around 2000. She's 21 now and got into making "music" a few years after her show debuted. I can only imagine that she makes the same generic pop rock that seems to be oh so plentiful nowadays (I don't want to risk losing my sanity by going on youtube and listening to any of her songs but according to wikipedia my assumption is most likely valid). On to my story. So I was looking at a Rolling Stone article listing the greatest whatevers of rock when I realized that they know nothing about music. With that in my head I started googling "rolling stone *insert prog band here*. I got to The Flower Kings and the first result given was for Unfold The Future. Innocent enough, right? Wrong. For those of you that have a long enough memory span that allows you to remember what this post is about you probably have realized Hilary Duff is somehow related to the search result. The URL for the search result is http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/hilaryduff/albums/album/234824/unfold_the_future - http://www.rollingstone.com/artists/hilaryduff/albums/album/234824/unfold_the_future . According to Rolling Stone Hilary Duff was a guest on Unfold The Future. There are a few problems with this. First, I know that TFK switch out band members like crazy and have plenty of guests appear on albums but I doubt they would ever ask for Hilary Duff to guest. Second, I doubt she even knows prog, let alone TFK, exists. And lastly, as an owner of the album I see no mention of her anywhere on the booklet. Granted the booklet is a little beaten up so it might be mentioned in a few very select places which would prevent me from seeing it. I hope that made a few people crack a smile.
EDIT: Thanks admin for making the thread title more logical.

That is really funny. I'm also surprised someone at Rolling Stone has heard of the Flower Kings.

I too was surprised but it seems like they have a page for TFK. Though they do seem to have pages for most of the bands from the past 20 years that the prog community considers well-known.

Lolz, maybe a mistake? I doubt she would be interested in(or even heard of) that type of thing....
Hilary Duff is so last year anyway.... all of Lizzie McGuire's relevancy to the pre-teen pop culture has been totally pwned by High School Musical ages ago

High School Musical??? You can't be serious! Films like that come and go, but Hilary's stuff will last. I mean, the themes in her songs are just so universal and so touching that just about everyone can relate to them. I can truly imagine her albums being played by our grand-grand-grand-grandchildren or something like that. She's like the Baudelaire of our times!

That may be true, but you can't deny the masterpiece that is "We're all in this together".
Seriously, TFK and Hillary Duff? Maybe there are two Duffs.

Coincidentally, I recently had a dream that featured Hillary Duff.
I was supposed to be taking care of the grandson of some old asian lady, then the kid ran away and the grandmother turned into Hillary Duff which was pretty awesome. Then Elle McPhereson walked around and then I woke up. Nice to see them, but all I got was a glimpse!
Hillary didn't seem too angry that her grandkid ran away. So that was odd.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that your dream along with this TFK + Hilary Duff thing is prophetic. You obviously have to find an old Asian lady, befriend her, let her make you take care of her grandkid, then have the kid run away. After The old lady turns into Hilary Duff you are to marry her, turn her on to prog, and get her to travel back to 2001 to guest on Unfold The Future. Also you are probably the only person to ever have a dream that featured both Hilary and Elle.
I also have a confession to make. The only reason I'm on the PA forums is that I was browsing Rolling Stone for Hilary Duff (like Vompatti said, she's the Baudelaire of our times, whoever that is). I bought her entire discography including albums where she was a guest. I looked up TFK to see if anyone actually liked that music and I came here. I thought I'd make this thread to enlighten the prog community that there is so much excellent music out there like Ms Duff's.

I hope that Hillary Duff will appear on a TFK album one day, as long as TFK lead the way musically. Not for myself, but maybe it may give my 13-year old daughter, who has posters of HD on the inside of the doors of her wardrobe, a push in the direction of wat she calls 'Goat Music' nowadays.

It is Daniel singing in Fast Lane. I've listened to Unfold the Future many times to see what she does and I have concluded she is the one clearing her throat in the beginning of "The Devil's Danceschool." The only reason it sounds like a man is that she had a really bad case of laryngitis that day.

I used to have a free subscription to Rolling Stone that I got for making a purchase off of Ticketmaster. Apparently they were running some sort of deal at the time. Some of the articles were entertaining enough.
