ErmmActually, I doubt it, Jim. As poor Dude is a heat-stricken denizen of the diminutive sun-baked nether continent of Australia, he has probably only ever seen ice in one of those pink, fruit-bedecked cocktails he favours.LOL

If he would visit me here in Canada, however, where Spring is advancing apace, and the temperature has skyrocketed to a searing  + 2C, I could take him to a nearby lake (yes, Dude, lots of large bodies of fresh water just lying around here; don't tell the Americans!), put the appropriate bladed footwear upon his over-large, marsupial hind feet, and show him in a very real, immediate, and memorable (assuming he survives) fashion exactly what it means to go "skating away on the thin ice of the new day!" Wink

Heck, I'll bet that the ice has thinned to somewhat less than a metre thick already!

Yes and isn't that a dirty shame?

They were SO good and actually progressive between 1969 and 1975.  But they eventually turned into a pop band with a horn section.

Was the late acting Richard Burton knighted? The Victorian Sir Richard Burton, was one of the few non-Moslems to get into Mecca in the mid 19th century and survived, and when he wasn't exploring,  translated Kama Sutra and 1001 Nights. into English. Alas when he died, his wife frightened by possible defaming of her later husband's name, burnt much of his unpublished writing in case it contained pornography.

Tribute albums that just won't happen:

"Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids play Anglagard's 'Jordrok' with pots, pans, a two-string dumpster guitar, a bass (the fish), harmonicas, whistles, sticks, rubber chickens, and a synthesizer they stole from old man Jenkins' store window"

"Anglagard plays Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids' theme song in 9/8 (guest voice: Gabble Ratchet as Bill Cosby)"

"Metallica plays Anglagard's 'Rosten' alongside the famous John Cage piece, 4'33" (although I wish they would: I'd buy it )
