Frankly I am creeped out and disturbed, but maybe the commercials really aren't at fault.

Oh come on Slart, looking at your avatar I know you get - animated - thinking about car insurance
Have you noticed that the other characters in those commercials sound like drones?

I have no idea who or what the prog auto insurance chick is, I did find this cute biker chick though...
We have Iggy Pop and Alice Copper advertising car insurance in the UK.

Progressive Insurance isn't specific enough for me. Do they have Zeuhl Insurance or Neo-Progressive insurance.
I would probably have to do more doughnuts and wheelies to qualify anyway. But not too many, Tech/Extreme Progmetal Insurance has really high rates.

But . . . I don't even know how to contact her. Besides, I can't just ask her, can I? She'd think I'm some kind of a weirdo! (I'm not.) And . . . how am I even supposed to talk to a girl?

OK, here's a rough sketch of how I would ask her:
Dear Progressive Auto Insurance Chick!
I'm a great fan of your work. It reminds me a bit of Bela Lugosi. Say, have you ever considered becoming a member of a progressive rock site? I sure wish you were here. Sincerely yours,
Vompatti.
|
Posted By: StyLaZyn

First you need an official title as representative of ProgArchives. That will get you beyond the weirdness. You will see this title as a badge of honor. And that badge of honor will give you the confidence to present the idea to her. She will see that confidence and be smitten with you. She will then galdly accept the proposition.

Heck no! I want him. Not for any sexual purposes mind you, but rather to follow me around and narrate everything I do. His voice is one of the most awesome voices behind Morgan Freeman, Isaac Hayes, and Billy Dee Williams. I would add Jeremy Irons to that list but then it wouldn't be exclusively black men and I like to be anti-racist.

Where are you, progressive insurance chick? Where does your immense smile now decorate the atmosphere? Whose bed do you sleep in tonight? Are you wild and loud as they say, or gentle and warm, like a panda or the dying light of a summer day on a lonely cliff somewhere not far from the sea?
Do your lovely hands ever tire of waving in the air, insuring - by their very mindlessness - insuring. Oh, progressive insurance chick, the laughter of my heart, where are you?

Bump.
From Wikipedia:
Bumping old or inactive ("dead") threads is occasionally called
"necroposting" or "thread necromancy", and the bumped posts referred to
as "frankenposts". "Dead" threads that are reawakened are often called
"thread necros". People who resurrect old threads are often called
