I'm a bit UNSURE what forum I should start this debate/ask this question in, but I think I've chosen the right one.
Anyways..
I was surfing around the prog archives and searching for almost every prog rock or prog related band I know. I searched for Witchcraft, but it seemed like they were not to find in the archive.
That's odd I thought to myself, if Black Sabbath is in here they should be too.
I would add them myself, if I knew how to do it. But I don't know...
So would anyone please tell me how? or add them for me?.
To those of you who doesn't know who Witchcraft are: Witchraft is a Swedish Hard Rock/Stoner Metal band formed in Örebro in the year 2000. Who by now has released a several albums...
And if you don't think they sound very prog related, then listen to this and think again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0XHvzLTSDw

Suggestions for addition go in Suggest New Bands and Artists
No progressiveness that I could hear. Pretty good Stoner Rock (not Metal) - I'll ask the Heavy Prog team to give them a listen.

I'm not requesting info about them, I've been a fan for a while. I just wondered why they were not on the website. If you ask me I'd call Withcraft more prog related than Iron Maiden as an example. With regard to genre I still see them as stoner metal because of the doom metal refferences in their music.
But I didn't say they were a prog band, but related. As far as I know prog rock is about mixng genres and instruments, not just changing rhythm and tempo?. Besides I can clearly hear the inspiration from bands like Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath, Black Widow, Comus etc in Witchcrafts music... but it might just be me, who's foolish
And oh, I didn't realise that forum, I must have skipped it when I looked. Sorry my bad.

^ The info wasn't for you, but for those who would be evaluating them for addition.
We have an additions procedure that means all bands will be evaluated by a team of collaborators for specific subgenres.

I definitely noticed the influences (JT, BS, etc. and Coven... and can be Spinal Tappish) and it sounds related to me. That youtube track has a psych and folk-rock element that is proggish to my ears.
Boy is it retro, but darned enjoyable retro. I can't help but feel that the band would have a better case if it was from the 70s. ;)
The official site: http://witchcrafthome.com/ - witchcrafthome.com (under construction and useless for now, but...) Some videos embedded for ease of use:
I like this one too:
Lots of others at youtube.com.

I think that the time is perfect for them now. Because if they keep playing I can go see them when I'm old as well. I saw them doing warm up for Motörhead and it was very very good. But I see what you mean, they're awesome real 70´s!. They claim to be heavily inspired by the early doom metal band "Pentagram". I guess they are and of Black Sabbath as well and Tull...
Logan you might as well check out some of their newer stuff:
I haven't heard that version before now, on the ablums they just use an acoustic guitar for the verses. But here they play it on piano. There's a very notable flute on the album as I well I can't remember if they use it in that vid...
Listen to thay wonderful sax solo!

I say we should add them. I've known about them for awhile, and enjoy what I have heard.
PR seems fitting, but will they accept the band?

Any PR suggestion has to be evaluated by the Admin Team. As to the HP team, we will be very glad to evaluate them.. However, on a personal level, I'd be very glad if suggestions didn't come accompanied by the caption, "they're more prog (or prog-related) than (insert band already in the database)".
No offense meant to the thread starter, but after three and a half years on this site I've become a bit tired of seeing the same thing over and over again. If Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden are here, there are rather serious, valid reasons - no one woke up one morning and decided to add them on a whim.

You should try listening to "The Alchemist" the title track of their newest album. A 15 minute long epic rock song!
And for those who don't think they sound a bit like Black Sabbath:
