I saw a  Phil Collins interview last night on TV. Did anyone else see it. The way he writes songs and the stories behind some of the urban myths were quite interesting.

Mark Lawson was the interviewer. It actually looks like he's sitting in his lap, but its on BBC iPlayer if anyone is interested.

I thought it was a very good interview, and should go some way to debunking the rubbish that has been written about him in recent times. Mark Lawson is a good journalist, and I enjoy his pieces in The Guardian newspaper.

It was refreshing to hear Collins being forthright, without being dismissive, about the early "classic" years with Gabriel.

I also think that the Live in Rome show was fantastic, easily the best later Genesis show I have seen in some time, largely because they appeared to cherish their musical heritage rather than ignoring it.

Maybe we should stop throwing horse manure through his bedroom window now ? No, let's do it for a couple of more years.

As a person, Phil seems like a great guy which I really like. The interview confirmed that and I agree with Lazland. I cannot stand his music though. Both Genesis after Wuthering and his solo stuff is really horrible. How do I square this ? I don't know.......... NURSE NURSE NURSE !!!!

Really horrible. I saw them in the big O here in Montréal ( got free tickets only reason I went) ) . It was like watching ants. Sound was out of sync on the big screen. Really awful show. I`m sure the Rome show live didn`t fare much better until it was doctored for DVD. I guess he`s not a bad guy and the sad part is that he`s actually a versatile drummer who`s sat in with so many artists from Ozzy to Jethro Tull. I`ll try and find the interview on the net.
