this thread is for those wishing to thank
PROGARCHIVES for their tremendous efforts and
allowing us to voice opionions, whatever they may
be!
thanks guys for struggling with my viewpoints!

your additions of Lard Free, Vangelis and JM Jarre
makes the site more welcome for international
visitors. I think this is a move that will bring you
success globally(if the english guys dont pound
them to death with Canterbury and were it! junk).
The electronic alchemist/synthesist/sorcerer from
europe should be a main focal point along with the
styles from North America and England.

 to DB,  to ProgArchives.

I'm mostly ambivalent about the new additions, but for my money the folks behind ProgArchives can't be thanked enough for their work.

I do understand the confusion, being raised in the
SW USA and spending the other third of my 46 years
in mostly California, Germany, France, Austalia,
Argentina and Saudi Arabia culture shock is a
natural issue. Either musical, political, religious or
even dietary it takes time to get accustomed.

The definition of Progressive Rock should be
universal from the 70's and not threatened by the
evolution to boring everyone friendly music. English
bands(AOR), german bands(new age), american
bands(smooth jazz), french bands(avant garde),
world music have all been diluted by the all
mighty buck into unaccessible rubbish that I can only
accredit to greed, stupidity and evil in high places.

We should all continue to search for things that are
thrustworthy as the world has been exploited by
communism, socialism, capitalism, christianity,
islam, and corporate control. It is your right as a
human being to seek freedom, truth, peace and
love! Human emotion......

yes...i agree totally

thanks to m@x, and to all the other folks who have worked hard at their own expense to create one of the finest sites on the internet.

were it not for this site ... and guys like james lee, maani, cluster one, owl, (and on and on....)
i would probably never have discovered :

1. those wonderfully gifted & creative italian progressive groups (pfm, banco, locanda della fate, le orme, etc.) - (other bands as well)

2. "synth software" , virtual keyboards like g-media's "m-tron"

...

It's easy to take good things for granted ... and to keep harping on the 5% that doesn't work instead of the 95% that is excellent ...

PA is awesome! Thanks!
