Amon Duul II's "Wolf City" is listed as being released in 1973 but was actually released in November 1972.

Mine says `73 maybe the guy who entered it was using the North American release as a reference. This sort of confusion arises from time to time here. Many albums have been released a few months apart on different sides of the Atlantic and the years overlap. This especially happens when different labels are involved.

Just checked. It was the owner of the site who made the entry and since he is a Canadian he probably used a North American pressing as a reference. It was recorded in July `72 and I also have a 2003 Gamma CD release with 3 bonus tracks.I think Revisited has also released it with the same bonus tracks in 2006 ???

Not necessarily. ProgLucky used to be set as default name for any additions or updates when they were made through the Admin Zone. So, it could have been anyone who had access to the Amin Zone.

Didn`t know that but I have an old Canadian UA Wolf City LP and it says `73, so whoever made the entry must have used a NA copy that was released in `73. There probably was a first North American pressing released in `72 and it was re-released in `73. Remember the band was just getting a bit more popular especially here in NA because of their more "mainstream" leanings on that particular album and the one before it Carnival In Babylon if you could call it that ( I wouldn`t call Duetsche Nepal mainstream ) I think there`s similar problems with In And Out Of Focus and a couple of Yes albums as well as Uriah Heep`s Salisbury and definitely a few more. Have to log out now but I`ll check. I go nuts with stuff like this.
