With a short week off from college I've been hanging with friends and chilling out to some classic rock cd's. Zeppelin has always been a favorite and this week totally revived my interest in them.
I have never checked out anything else Page, Plant or Jones did after this. Anything good I should check out? |

Walking Into Clarkesdale by Page and Plant, also their other CD which I forget the name of where they redid some old Zep numbers as well as some new ones.
Also the Coverdale/Page album has a few good tracks, some are very Zep-like.

It's called "No Quarter - Unledded" if memory serves right. Coincidentally, the drummer on that album (Michael Lee) has just passed away.
I would mention "Outrider" too, the 1988 solo album by Jimmy Page (with Jason Bonham in some tracks and Plant in one, I think) which was very good. Hard rock/blues style.
Coverdale/Page was a very good record too - even if at times you had to endure David Coverdale trying to sound like W. Axl Rose (never a good idea)
 For poppy-Plant, I think the choice would be "Now and Zen", also from the late 80s.

The first Firm album is a good one, but do not expect Zeppelin here.
Check the Sporting Life of JPJ with Galas a good and weird one...
The first Plant albums are good but nothing outstanding.
Outrider of Page was done in a difficult time of Page's life.

| Get the wonderful solo album by Mr. Plant known as "The Mighty Rearranger". And The Honey Drippers were kind of cool. "Fate of Nations" was a good solo album too if you ask me. |

I think Plant's first two solo albums are superb ventures into new areas after Zep, the third and fourth are also good. Page's Outrider is a very good effort if a bit tinny, and the tour was excellent. And I've heard good things about Jones's work overall. |

| I really don't rate any post-Zeppelin stuff very highly, not from any members, and I've been watching their stuff quite closely. I'm afraid it always just has the effect of reminding me of how great LZ was and how the later output doesn't even come close. |

Robert Plant's recent album with Alison Krauss, Raising Sand, is excellent. Now and Zen & The Mighty Rearranger are other fine albums by mr. Squeeze-my-lemon. I love the Coverdale-Page -album, and also Outrider by Jimmy, quite underrated. |

The stuff where Page and Plant play together (from all the albums of them I've listened to) is really good. Some solo Plant isn't great, but it still isn't awful or anything. -------------

Yeah, Plant albums from the 80's sound a bit too 80's, but they're not bad. I recently downloaded The firm albums and Outrider, the Jimmy Pagesolo album, I heard them only once, but they're nice albums. Of course, don't expect something as great as Led Zeppelin IV or Physsical Graffitti. -------------
