Anybody else here like Eli Young Band? I am in love with their new album "Jet Black and Jealous". They are a rare band that has a good old time sound, which is really hard to find in modern bands. My favorite song off of their album is "When it Rains": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztHNs_b_sy0 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztHNs_b_sy0 . If you don't know them and like country with a rock influence this should be right up your alley!

Welcome maryjstar89,

I'm probably as close to a country-rock fan as you'll run into on this site.  The song reminds me of Russell Smith era Amazing Rhythm Aces a bit, though for me it's lacking a true country edge.  They shoulda cranked up that pedal steel a bit in the mix!

I'm not sure that's a good thing.Shocked I'm no country fan, primarily because it sounds like it's for old people and farmers and cowboys etc.. Yankee Hotel and Neil Young's On the Beach are 28 years apart, and sound similar to me (despite the synthesizer or glitch or whatever in Wilco's production). These are my only favorite country music. And I might go try some Dixie Chicks and http://cn.last.fm/music/Carrie+Underwood - Carrie Underwood for their sexual appeal.

From my understanding, "country" is closely related to "Americana". Neil Young and I are not American and don't careSmile
