i live in one of the most popular places
to ride offroad, but i'm still a die-hard road rider, have been
for decades.
current road bikes include: vitus ocs (dura-ace 25th anniversary group), vitus 979, bianchi...
utah is a great place to ride, but i would love to ride around europe
just for fun. i love watching those euro classics on tv:
paris-roubaix, liege-bastogne-liege, and all the rest...also love to
watch the great tour of italy (giro)...
i try to put in about 1500 - 2000 miles / yr. but the older i get, the harder it is.
used to race, but gettin' too old for that too

I walk everywhere. I have a bike which I've had for years, but never really use it anymore (I think one of the tires is punctured anyway).

I plan on becoming more outdoorsy and getting a good bike. I basically get no physical exercise right now. My home school plan doesn't require me to take phys for this year, and I never walk or run or pump iron. Nope. I am skinny , but I am way out of shape. The only exercise I get is when I am going on all cylinders at Arby's; but whatever exercise that is, is surely diminished when I sit down to a Big Montana, some curly fries, and a Jamocha shake!!

I love cycling. I used to do around 9 or so miles a day going to work and back, then my bike - which was not a great machine - fell to pieces, and I've been walking ever since, as I cant drive.
I will get round to buying a new bike in the very near future.

I have a Schwin mountain bike, nothing too fancy, no shocks or space industry alloys.
I ride with my kids -- mostly pavement, some easy dirt.....
Good clean fun.

I have 3 "professional" cycling bikes, and until a year ago is was competing in the "junior-men class" all around Europe.
Progrock is by the way fantastic to listen to while training, and because I trained about 20 hours a week, I became a prog fanatic .

Ow by the way, I didn't really understand your question, or wasn't it a question?
If you need advice, just ask, but in clear english, so stupid dutch men can also understand .

I've got a crappy mountain bike that I'm trying to punish into submission. Weather permitting, I jump on with my MP3 player loaded and ride as hard are my quads can push to a 12 mile circuit. The bike is near melt-down, but my quads are tighter than a first time prisoners ass cheeks.

Used to have one of the first 'Orange' hardtails with index gearing
that cost me a bomb back in the day but since deciding to ride to work
my love of off roading has decreased rapidly. The Orange died under the
wheels of a 4x4 (although I got away with just a broken rib and toe) some years back but the British Eagle I replaced it with is just not the same.
Cycling can be great fun though.
