process of emlimination rules out cinema show quite quickly. then it gets hard. OK bracket time shine on vs. Heart of the sunrise. oooohhh so close but i think id have to take shine on. vs 21st century schizoid man? too hard to tell. probably 51 percent of the time id take the crimson, the other 49% of the time id go with floyd but then vs. heart of the sunrise i think id rather listen to heart of the sunrise over schizoid man. which confuses me about my first choice. . . . .  ------------- http://www.last.fm/user/KeiserWillhelm" rel="nofollow - What im listening to |

Nope. The rest of it is brilliant. The delay isn't that big, and it means I have to get up and turn the damn thing off (breaking the atmosphere) before the end. It's a really great piece, but the other three are basically flawless, and it isn't. |

I guess for me the Floyd track would be of lesser "value" on the whole than the other three. It would be useless to dispute your use of "flawless" because I wouldn't say the track necessarily has flaws, just I don't find it as satisfying as the others. |

went with "Heart Of The Sunrise" but let me tell you that this is a very hard poll for me to decide as I love all the songs mentioned. Reason I voted Heart Of The Sunrise is because I feel it defines early prog best it has all the elements I enjoy.

I went Shine On, as it was one of the first prog rock songs I heard, fell in love with it straight away.

Nahh... It's not so hard. "Shine on" easilly beats the rest... I like Genesis but certainly not for Cinema Show... Heart Of the Sunrise is a very entairtaining song yeah... I really think the King Crimson first album has an awful sound.. But nothing beats the feeling that "Shine on" gives you... Such an ambience... ------------- PLATO RULES! |

Very hard and great poll. I love them all, but Cinema Show just about shades this for me over Heart of the Sunrise. I just adore Gabriel's vocals and the modern take on a classic and timeless love story. The music ain't half bad, either!!
