I'll probably be at a baseball game and miss them like I did with the conventions. 
I tend to be fiscally conservate but socially liberal. And each of the parties does one of these good but really really suck at the other, so it becomes a matter of trying to go all Solomon on myself and deciding which half of me I need to appease and which half of me I need to throw under the wheels. -------------

I chose the alternative to the "other" option, which is: I'm not American, so I don't really have a choice to watch the debates on TV, which means that even though I'm going to ignore the whole event it slightly bothers me that I can't make my indifference appear a revolutionarily statement against the whole election thing which is nothing more than commercial pseudo-political nonsense bearing no relevance to anything remotely important because no matter whom they vote the president the real power lies with the government and the secret government above the government, and there's a government above every government except the highest government, which is so secret a government that its members don't even know that they're members of a government, in fact I could be one of them and probably am. |

Meme theory is quite interesting, a meme is basically the philosophical equivalnet of a gene: An idea that passes itself on to people as it's communicated, combining with other ideas and mutating as it reaches across places and times.

Probably catch a few minutes of them knowing they'll only piss me off, and knowing that I won't be voting for either clown.
The Kerry/Bush/Edwards/Cheney debates were ridiculous. Not just because of the constant terrible arguments and fallacies, but listening to the comments of people afterwards. One woman's reason for voting Bush was that she wouldn't be able to make more money (100K or so) over time (she was a waitress) if Kerry was elected. Its people/comments like that that make me really want to leave this country sometimes. NOT the people in office. Which is pretty bad. There should really be an adult voter responsibilty class/act here. Everyone must take it. The government would pay for it (by redirecting our money that goes to those ridiculous conventions). Basically it would be a class on critical thinking. Then people could better choose who to not vote for. |

I definitely agree with the bolded part. I don't know if I'll watch the debate, but I'll probably read up on it afterwards. Then to decide which of the worthless people to vote for. -------------

Avoid them they're not debates. No semi-meaningful questions are asked, you must respond on a time limit, and you can only speak when given permission. Well considering this election is for high school SGA, it seems quite appropriate. Its not like any of these candidates could handle a well thought, meaningful question. Oh wait. What I mean is... Its not like any of these candidates would answer a well thought, meaningful question. |
