I actually attended a blind test and the Mondavi Reserve speciale actually was a hands down winner over A Mouton Lafitte Rotschild , so Its not that the french are better. The list here is expensive but must be tried at least once in a lifetime! A mean, a Romanee Conti , vintage =wow! California wines are superb, BTW , as well as fab Oz, Italian, Hungarian, Chilean and even South African wines. ------------- I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth. |
