I still haven't got around to ripping at least half of my CDs to MP3 yet, so right now it's only 4113 songs.

Six thousand and something, since I've deleted a lot of mp3s. (because most music is terrible.)

Just realized I had 90125 from Yes on there (which my dad seems to like) so I just deleted that off my iTunes list, so my list got smaller just then.

I currently have 23,658 audio files in my Winamp media library ... 13,530 of them are from the Napster flatrate subscription though (they're only valid as long as I pay for the subscription).

I don't use iTunes.
I have it on my old desktop and had one album on there ('cause it was in their silly format, rather than MP3)

I use both Winamp and iTunes. I might eventually put all my stuff on Winamp if I can be bothered getting around to it.

I don't use the Media Library. I just have all my music in one place on my hard drive and then just load the album I want to play by using the "Add Directory" button.
That means if I wanted to, I could load the same tunes into iTunes.
Much less effort.

^ I use iTunes to load and convert albums, storing them as mp3 so I can play them using any player that takes my fancy.

Well most of the vinyl I own, I now also own on CD, thanks mostly to re-issues, so I don't really need to convert them (not that I could if I need to).
And with over 400 CDs... plus an obvious categorising on the PC under Genre (my mild OCD creeps in here), it would take quite some time, especially if I converted them into FLAC format.

No songs, one radio station. Or one radio station, one song (at one time). Or one radio station, several songs (if 'radio station' is defined by everything it plays during its existence.)
Thus, I didn't vote.

I did so when I got my first MP3 player. It's really not that bad if you have a fast CD drive. I love having the access to my collection that provides.
My Zune says it has 15163.
Ooops, voted and messed up your bell curve.

I used to use a program on my old machine that converted music file formats... I think I can do it on this PC, I've not tried yet...
I have Roxio though and have yet to even try it.

I use a variety of different programs depending on the file format - however iTunes can convert all the main ones to mp3 and that's all I'm usually interested in.

Yep, me too. I do need more VBR rips though, most of mine are 320 kbps.

Just crashed the 21 000 barrier. And not one singe mp3, all tracks imported from my audio CDs.
Me very happy
Oh, and no single tracks, complete albums only. The whole caboodle stored on external disk drive with one extra drive as backup. I'm not going through that importing process all over again. Loads of weekends spent as disk tray jockey.
Wifey not happy

If I ever get around to buying a 1 terrabyte external drive (like I keep planning to do), I shall consider putting all my CDs on it in FLAC format for backup purposes...
1 Terrabyte is so big, I'll be able to fit lots of other stuff on the drive as well, so it won't go to waste.
I should have a back-up for that though really...

3018 songs at the moment. I'm about to buy Cephalic Carnage's latest album "Xenosapien" however, so that should bump it up a good few hundred more...
By the way, has anyone actually got 90125 songs? that would be... awesome

I should have voted 0 then. I took it to be a generic poll even though a trade name (iTunes) was used.
