This doesn't seem to have been posted here yet, so I thought I'd do the honours! Big%20smile

February 12th, 13th, 14th, 2009 - Magma 1969-2009 - 40th Anniversary Concerts
at the Casino de Paris, Paris, France

Venue: http://www.casinodeparis.fr/magma-106.html - http://www.casinodeparis.fr/magma-106.html
Alternative option for purchasing tickets: http://festival.fnacspectacles.com/place-spectacle/manifestation/Pop-rock-MAGMA-1969---2009-MAGMA.htm - http://festival.fnacspectacles.com/place-spectacle/manifestation/Pop-rock-MAGMA-1969---2009-MAGMA.htm

According to the venue's website, Magma will perform Emëhntëht-Rê during the course of these concerts.  It also states that the Emëhntëht-Rê album is due for release in October 2008.

Not only that, there are rumours that Jannick Top's Infernal Machina will perform at one or more of the concerts - also that Jannick may add his unmistakable bass guitar bravado to MDK and/or De Futura...

Needless to say, I've ordered my tickets (I can only make the 13th and 14th, but still... Magma live!!  Twice!!!). Embarrassed

[One note of caution: I ordered my tickets from the venue via their website, and despite selecting the option for postal delivery, it transpired (after I phoned up to ask after the tickets) that they'd decided to hold on to them for me, for eventual collection at the box office...  In the end I decided that would probably be more sensible anyway, but still... it was a bit annoying! Confused]

Anyway, there it is.  Start gibbering with excitement. LOL

No surprise in the first part there, they've been playing Emehnteht-Re live for over a year now.  Good to hear they've finally set a release date for it, though.  I thought it might never come out.

Agreed. I hope they do a few American dates at some point.

Well, the blurb on the Casino de Paris website starts off by saying, "En avant première de sa tournée mondiale..." - my French is rubbish, but I think that means "In advance of their world tour...".  It may of course be optimistic whitewash for the purposes of generating interest, but maybe... just maybe... a Grand Tour of Ïtah may be in the offing... LOL

That would be wonderful. If so, I definitely need to see them. Big%20smile
