Well, everyone who I talked to on the forum about this show told me I was in for a treat, and they were right. This was deffinitley one of the best shows I've ever seen! I got to hear my favorite 3 songs, and got a t shirt for half off Big%20smile.

So I woke up at about 11 am, and met up with all my friends at about 2 pm. We watched some of Rush in Rio, played a little fooseball, ate some pizza, and then headed off to the show. We listened to nothing but Rush on the way there.

When we got into the Jones Beach parking lot, we chilled, had some sodas..talked to some people about music, we were talking to a huge Dream Theater fan most of the time in the parking lot about all different types of prog.

Then we headed into the venue. I've never liked Jones Beach very much, the last show I went to there was Dream Theater in 2007, I enjoyed that because our seats were very close to the stage. For Rush however, they were not quite as close. From where we were sitting they looked like action figures LOL, that didn't matter too much at all considering...IT WAS RUSH.

I really couldn't believe I was there when the show opened up, I thought I was having another Rush dream LOL.

The setlist was great, they played 3 of my favorite songs, which had to be the highlights of the show for me: Natural Science, 2112, and A Passage to Bangkok.

It was deffinitley a great first Rush live experience, and will not be my last for sure!

I just can't believe it's over Cry

I know how you feel all too well. Hopefully next time you'll be closer! Glad you got a kick out of it though!

I'm glad that the show met its lofty expectations.  Did they happen to throw in Bastille Day for good measure, given that the show was on Bastille Day.  Probably not, but that is one of my all-time favorite songs from them, so it would have been pretty cool if they dusted it off for the occasion.

No they didn't, that would've been great! Caress of Steel is probably my 2nd favorite Rush album.

Quite the amazing show indeed! Hopefully we'll see them closer one day.

And Mike, you put the wrong date in the title, its not August yet xD.  7/14/08.
