HI PROG FRIENDS, THIS IS CÉSAR INCA.

Two bad news concerning health issues that are currently affecting two prog masters: Hugh Hopper and Stanley Whitaker.

The Soft Machine maestro seems to bear a menacing leukemia, while Happy the Man/Oblivion Sun guitarist-writer Stanely Whitaker is suffering form cancer.

I wish the best of lucks and the fastest recoveries to these two masters that have given us so much joy through their musical talents.

          Candles for Hugh and Stan!!

Hello All,

My name is LeeAnne Whitaker,  Stanley Whitaker is my husband and I wrote a new thread  today titled:
LeeAnne Whitaker Calling  All and Cesar Inca. I wanted to send my utmost gratitude to all who are keeping Stanley in your positive thoughts and wondered if any one would like to continue the thread with me, so I might print out your well wishes for him. Stories or tales of when you first heard or might have been inspired by some of his music are fun medicine to him as he walks forward with his rare cancer diagnosis called ; adenoid cystic carcinoma.
In any case, throwing it out to you,
In the meantime, Much love to all,

Hello, LeeAnne

Wish you the best to you and your husband who is an excellent musician. This is hard for him but also to you as I can relate to your case as i am myself battling presently this disease and i know how the support of a spouse can help you to beat   the odds hopefully.
I don't know about this kind of cancer your hubby is battling but i hope he will be a ''Happy the man''again. Keep us posted on how he is doing , hopefully with great news.
Keep faith and keep the music playing
Antoine
